The YWCA has offered a program since 1970 to give pregnant or parenting teenagers under twenty-four an opportunity to finish their educations and improve their chances for better-paying jobs.
Today, the Young Parent Support program continues to provide outreach, home visiting, case management, and parenting education as well. What began as the Pregnant Adolescent Girl’s Education (PAGE) program, the first program in Springfield to help pregnant and parenting teens stay in school, has expanded to include many more resources.
For teen parenting resources, visit the Massachusetts Pregnant and Parenting Teen Initiative (MPPTI) or the Children’s Trust Fund.
